Plans for the Future?
Hi - Just 'found' you guys again after 27 years!!! I see that I missed a couple of gigs earlier this year but are there plans for any more in 2007 and/or new material on the way???? Looking fwd to listening to the new CD.... the one from Korea (c1997) and my dear old vinyl lp are both worn out through overplaying!! Cheers Simon

Perfect Vinyl!
Kids asleep, the wife's out, time to listen to some music in peace- a rare treat. What haven't I listened to for a long (long) time? I've still got Garden Shed on vinyl, fire up the LP12 , warm up the Naims. Pour out a single malt and wallow in two sides of perfect, analogue keyboard driven nostalgia. Just found the web site - planning any more gigs in the UK? Is it Frank Holland - it's Franc on the original album. Why did Jode never find the "on" lever for the strainer on his snare? A new album in 2006? Finger's crossed. If you do the 29 years between album's will make the Blue Nile's output look prolific in response!

Poisoned Youth
Just to say that having heard Poisoned Youth for the first time in 1982, having had a copy on tape for years and then a new CD copy for the past couple of years it remains an absolute classic. Glad to hear you are back in action.

My Little Pony
Pray, why you say you come so far, but fail to tell me who you are? I ventured till I found this stile to rest my weary legs a while. But those behind are sure not dead, I put them in my garden shed! If you be the trekker from old Ash Down, then trot this way without a frown. There's life in the old dog yet. RW

Robert Webb
Life to me has many sides from ? to pony rides and you my love must venture on and find that branch to perch upon, and only once you've had to roam will you find that place to call home. 28 years later and I have certainly done my share of roaming - glad you are still alive and playing!

Reissue details
Hi, three questions from a longtime fan. First, regarding the JAP "paper sleeve" version, what do you means exactly by it being slightly out of tune, and is it a one-off problem or a flaw throughout the JVC remaster? Also, will you be willing to sell the new CD art booklet separately for people who already have a copy of the album? Finally, would you please bring a good selection of all your merchandise to Baja Prog? Great to have you back in business!

Come and play in Sweden!
I'm so happy that you started playing again, Garden Shed is my nr 1 album ever and it's so sad it was the only one from you! But Mexico and Japan is very far away if you live in Sweden, is 20 years and a student, so I wonder if there is any chance that your going to play in Europe some time? Then I'll come to see you! Thank you so much for the lovely music you created... are there any plans of making a new album? /DavidS

Prog drumming
We'll shortly be updating this site with information about the two new band members, ace guitarist Alec Johnson and superb drummer Steve Laffy. In the meantime, have a look at Steve's site - www.stevelaffy.co.uk - for information about his drumming background and for details of his excellent books on drumming techniques and styles. Garden Shed Re-Mastering
Dear Tommy, The Japanese CD of Garden Shed is, hopefully, the one released in 2005 by Strange Days (known as 'Paper Sleeve' version). This is excellent quality (24-bit capability) and was taken afresh from the BMG master tapes. It has no enhancement and is (unfortunately) very slightly out of tune. The 1997 re-mastering by Tony Arnold was also carried out from the BMG masters, but on this ocassion in the presence of myself and bass player Martin Henderson. Tony was surprised that the 1977 album had not been originally mastered using the Aphex Aural Exciter since this machine was featured extensively during that period (Tony, of course had worked with most King Crimson recordings). We agreed, after hearing an A-B test that it enhanced the character of the band's music and so the 1997 CD release of Garden Shed (Forward Organisation) has a more immediately-impressive sound quality. It is this digital version which has been used on the 'Special Edition' Garden Shed Music CD and Booklet for sale on this website. (We also had recently to go back to Tony, now in France, to enhance the 'extra track' on this 2005 Special Edition). I hope this info helps. Robert Webb
