The Story the_story

This classic is lost no more. The original album, which quickly sold out after its release in 1977, was digitally re-mastered by Tony Arnold at Arny's Shack Studios in 1997 and within a year, was also sold out. Although bootleg copies appear periodically, up until now, it has not been possible to obtain high quality versions of the original album.

Twenty-eight years after the first release of Garden Shed, band member and Creative Director, Robert Webb, together with Project Manager, Maggie Alexander have compiled an outstanding collection of the original artwork and lyrics for presentation in a special edition 20 page, 7 inch booklet and CD.

The album sleeve was to have included artwork for each track of Garden Shed but following changes at Arista Records, the LP was released in 1977 in a single sleeve. For the past few years, Robert Webb has been compiling the original artwork and has re-created one of three items by the Sussex artist Ken Hildrew, that had been lost and his own copy of Midnight Madness, which was destroyed in a fire in 1984.

For £19.95 (plus post and packing) you will receive:

20-page, 7-inch (175mm) booklet including all the original artwork and a copy of the Garden Shed CD with all the original tracks from the 1977 album, digitally re-mastered by Tony Arnold in 1997, PLUS an additional, previously unreleased track of the 1976 Olympic Studios recording of Three Piece Suite, Free.

We hope that the release of the special edition booklet and CD and the setting up of this website will mark the start of new Garden Shed Music projects.
